Procedure
Fillings take about an hour to complete. The dentist will do a consultation and discuss the different materials and what they will be doing inside of your mouth. Then, the dentist will take an x-ray before the procedure and most likely administer anesthesia. If the condition is mild, you may not need any anesthesia. After the tooth and gum are numb, the dentist will drill out the decayed material from your tooth. They will fill the hole (cavity) with the previously selected material.
